Empowered maternal concern (in its broadest sense) is an untapped feminine force that the world needs to balance and transform aggression. – Jean Shinoda Bolen

Be the change you wish to see in the world. -Mohandas Gandhi

Just Peace Circles is a powerful and dynamic approach to peacemaking that uses practices gathered from restorative dialogue, mediation, deep listening, therapeutic healing, nonviolent activism, Quaker faith and practice and native wisdom. These come together in a process for

Healing our global village – one Circle at a time.

Just Peace Circles offer this peacemaking practice to restore harmony and balance to ourselves, our communities and our planet. In circles we learn from our collective wisdom and take responsibility for our impact on one another and our environment. All of us – and all of our gifts - are needed to bring about this change.

Imagine the transformative power of coming together to address conflict and repair harm done – and find ways to build and strengthen community through the process.

Just Peace Circles offers peacemaking skills through leadership training, seminars, workshops and women’s peace exchanges. Participants are engaged on all levels to bring about personal transformation and social change. The powerful skills of Just Peace Circles work best in situations where there is a real desire for equal power and responsibility.

The format works for peacemakers and innovative thinkers in schools, on college campuses, in community, women’s and youth organizations, and anywhere individuals or groups wish to transform the “power over” model and take responsibility for themselves, their community and the environment.

Using the principles and practices of restorative justice and the wisdom of indigenous traditions, our Circles bring people together to address their conflicts and concerns with a commitment to repair, heal, and build stronger and healthier communities. Just Peace Circles offers real power and an equal voice to everyone in the Circle, in a language that people of diverse cultures and backgrounds can understand.

We honor and thank the elders and indigenous peoples for the opportunity to build upon their teachings and traditions.
